Born This Way.. Yay Or Nay

DSC02340

Welcome back all, I have been a little MIA in the blogosphere but I am now back, with lots to write about. I have given the blog a little bit of a revamp let me know what you all think.

Anyhow, I am kicking things off with a recent purchase of mine, Too Faced’s new Born This Way foundation. I was excited to give it a go a few weeks back as I had heard some great reviews on it. Lets start off with the packaging, as well, we all know I am a sucker for good packaging. This matte glass bottle, with the patent black lid and its gold font commands attention, in the most subtle way.

The foundation itself  is a medium coverage foundation which is build able. Its satin like texture made it a dream to apply and blend especially when using a BeautyBlender. One of the first things I noticed about this foundation was when I applied it, it didn’t look or feel heavy and cakey on my face, my skin could breathe and as all my fellow makeup lovers will know not all foundations feel so lustfully light on the skin.

I wore this foundation for approximately 10-12 hours and as much as I liked it, when it came to removing it I noticed skin had broken out! Now my skin doesn’t usually break out, I get the odd spot now and then but not much more. My cheeks were covered in small spots and my skin felt very dried out. I can’t say it was definitely the foundation that caused this as I haven’t used it since. Currently I am nursing my skin back to its former self, I will try this foundation out again as I did like it, that way I can make a more informed decision, but for now Too Faced’s Born This Way foundation is a nay for me.

If you would like to try Too Faced, Born This Way Foundation, you can get it HERE

Have you tried this foundation? What are your thoughts? Let me know I would love to hear your thoughts.
